Business Value
What outcome will the initiative create for customers, employees or the organisation?
Technology Leadership
My approach to technology leadership focuses on business-led priorities, practical delivery, visible risk and building trust between technology and the organisation.
Business Partnership
One of the mindset changes I value is moving away from thinking about the people technology supports simply as users.
A user consumes a system. A customer has a business need, an expectation of service and a perspective on what is important.
That distinction changes how technology teams listen, communicate and prioritise.
Prioritisation
What outcome will the initiative create for customers, employees or the organisation?
What operational, cybersecurity, resilience or regulatory risk is being reduced or accepted?
What investment, capability and organisational capacity are required?
Does the initiative support where the organisation is trying to go?
Operating Philosophy
Technology strategy becomes difficult when the organisation does not trust technology to deliver reliable services or manage change effectively.
For me, there is a natural progression:
Reliable Service → Trust → Business Partnership → Strategic Influence
